I am absolutely positive that I am any marketeers dream customer!
I believe everything they tell me about how this newest gadget is going to save me time, be easy to put the 700 pieces it comes in together in under 30 seconds and make me look younger and fitter as I do it!
I have cupboards full of them!
None of which pass my husbands shed rule of something having to be used more than three times in six months to be awarded space in there! Fortunately he rarely looks in the kitchen cupboards so I am probably safe to maintain my gadget habit for now at least!
Where I am more discerning, however, is in my cake cupboard! A fabulous cave of drawers and shelves nesting under the stairs that my Dad built me (thanks Dad x)
Here are my top 5 can’t live without them gadgets that have pride of place in my cake cave
5. Airbrush – yes expensive in it’s initial outlay especially when only used for cloud effect and floor boards until completing a class on using it more wisely! But a FAB addition to my toolkit
4. A set of sugar shapers – used for defining details on big sculpted cakes
3. Clear acrylic set up boards – washable, reusable, just ace
2. A paring knife – great for cutting the edge on a freshly iced cake, making handmade decorations, cutting straight lines! (The last one escapes me with a pizza wheel every time) even good for opening the packets of fondant
1. My absolute all time favourite gadget combines my love of speedy things, limits scope for my clumsiness and my biggest love GLITTER! is my pump action Claire Bowman edible glitter which comes in silver, gold and red and no cake cave is complete without it.
Must go there is a delivery of a new electric wok due any second that I am assured I can’t live without

Thanks for this from another gadget junkie! I hate to think what my playroom contents (the name given to the bedroom I have taken over for caking and other crafty bits and pieces by my granddaughter) would add up to if I costed it all 😉 Not seen the pump action glitter ……. I might just neeeeed this 😊

Judy – you do neeeed it, just be careful your granddaughter isn’t in front of it when you use it! My son has gone to playdates before with a glittery hue :)
