Wow, this is so amazing! I can see that it must have been a very challenging cake, but you did a fantastic job on it!

Thank you soooooo much Toni !!! It’s my first pirate ship and I learnt a lot from it the sails caused me alot of stress when transporting it hahaha but I did it, thank you for your lovely comments <3

My 4 year old grandson is into Jake and the Neverland pirates, so I may have to make a pirate ship for his next birthday. Hope it turns out as nice as this one! Hard to say though, since 4 year olds change their mind so often!

This is adorable! I am curious how you did the sails — I have made one ship and struggled mightily to figure out how to do the sails. Ended up making them from modeling chocolate. I took them off to transport them. Yours look like they traveled well!

Heya Jenny, I made the sales out of gumpaste I cut into the shape I wanted then put a hole on the top and bottom of them so they would fit onto the skewers that went right into the cake, I then let them dry over a few cans haha to get the curve I made these last minuet because I was so worried how to do it, I transported them off the cake back then I was not as confident I placed gumpaste plugs if you will at the bottom of the sale and at the bottom of the upper part of the sail to secure to the wooden skewer I had the bottom part glued to the wooden dowel to set up too so more secure :) I think they would be fine to travel if I did it again and let it set up properly they would be ok :) hope that helps you, and thank you so much :)
