Hi AWG. Not as many as you might think! 6 in total, 3 per cake, 1.5 per layer (each cake is a sandwich). I use a Hummingbird recipe which is very light on eggs, so very light in texture too. I find madeira way too dense and egg-heavy. Thanks for all your lovely comments ladies! X
