I have been a cake decorator for 15 years and it all started with a bad break-up! My mom was tired of watching me mope around the house, so she signed us up for some Wilton cake decorating courses. The rest is history! My mom passed away 10 years ago, I just wish she could see what I'm doing now with her guidance.
These days I have also picked up a love for photography so I have combined the two into my company Cakes and Takes. I offer cakes/cupcakes and cookies plus photography for any event. It works out quite well as the two don't compete at the same time for production or execution. I have had the chance to be on a few cakes shows and published in a few magazines. I've move to a new area now and am trying to introduce myself. Strange being in a new place where no one knows you or what you do :)
