I love gold !!! I was asked for a Green and gold cake , so I just decided to add a bit of flesh pink… I tried to get a shabby effect on the middle tier but it did not turn out exactly like I wanted. I have to work on that !!!

this is going into my favorites, i love everything about this cake! i love that you used old school crimpers, these days there are so many decorating tools out there that we forget the old stuff that actually looks amazing on a cake. and when it comes to your middle tier not turning out as you wanted, you are the only one that sees the small imperfections, we are out worse critics, to me it looks as perfect as it can get :)
