I was so excited when I was asked to make this cake, I LOVE this film and hope that for my 30th I may receive something similar. It’s a 12" vanilla sponge filled with strawberry jam and vanilla butter cream. Everything is handmade except the baubles. I got a tad carried away but there are just so many brilliant parts and even so I didn’t include a lot of other ideas…maybe one day I’ll do a multiple tier cake and be able to include them all, but then I would need weeks just on prep.

This cake was a surprise for the birthday girl who was having an 80’s film theme for her party and was dressing as the goblin king himself (and her husband as sarah)…sounds like an awesome do, hope I did her justice with the cake xx
