I made this cake for my youngest nephew’s first birthday. All four cousins and their Halloween costumes are represented by the Disney characters : the birthday boy is Winnie in the angel costume, his brother is Piglet dressed as a robot, my son is supposed to be Tigger Doctor who and my daughter is Darby dressed as Belle.
Nerdache cake’s Doctor Who – Winnie the Pooh mash up cake provided the inspiration for this cake. You can see it "here ":http://nerdachecakes.tumblr.com/post/45620668599/nerdache-cakes-its-who-week-we-start-off-with
My sister had suggested a Winnie the Pooh cake and I could not resist making that oh so cute Tiger – Who figure.
I did have some structural difficulties. The tree top was too heavy for the support in the trunk ad it cracked a little though, thankfully, it was hardly visible. You had to bend down to see it.
It was my first time using Liz Mereck’s fondant recipe and it was trully delicious. I will have to use it more often. You can find this recipe" here":http://artisancakecompany.com/2012/11/the-best-marshmallow-fondant-recipe-ever/
