This was quite the unusual request….the host of the party was using peacock colors but wanted to work in Clemson Tiger paws into the peacock feathers because the happy couple both went to Clemson University & are huge fans. I mulled this one for a while & wasn’t sure about it, but I love how it came out!

I did a stylized two-dimensional peacock, layering fondant colors for the tail feathers, & hand-painting the details & scrollwork. I hope you can tell from the pictures, but the painting in done in three metallic colors—-bronze, copper & gold. And since it was an engagement party, & all about love, I incorporated a fun heart border, also in Clemson colors of purple & orange!

The cake is a red velvet with cream cheese buttercream filling, cream cheese white chocolate ganache icing, & all decor is fondant.
