Sharing my first try on doing big eyed sugar doll, with head bigger than their bodies, Manga type doll. I had experienced a lot of “brainstorming-with-myself” moments as Iam so used to doing precious moment type sugar figures (small head, teardrop eyes). I fell in love with this style of sugar doll the moment I put her altogether— her body arms and legs. Quite difficult to assemble and balance because of the weight of the head, specially when the hair was added. She was purely made from homemade gum paste.
I still want to master the art of this kind of figure modelling and exploring out the right type of paste to use that would give me enough time to sculpt yet leave a nice porcelain finish and harden quickly—-suggestions, advises and tips are so welcome and much appreciated!
