This cake was for Krewe Nautilus one of Tampa bays most funnest Gasparilla Krewe. For those not familiar it is our version of New Orleans Mardi Gras. The request was for something fun and this was the desing I cam e up with, Bottom tier to replicate the men’s jacket they wear and the top tier to resemble the womens bodice. Seeing as they are Krewe Nautilus I also added the Nautilus and one of the crewe members all being attacked by a large killer squid which also adorns the side of their Gasparilla float. I wish my picture taking skills were better as my backdrop for this cake was a room size aquarium with large sharks swimming in the back ground but all my pictures came out terrible :(
Cake flavors were sangria for top tier and Kahlua for the bottom, yes they love their liquor,lol.
