Yesterday was the end of term for schools in New Zealand. I had remembered a conversation with my daughter’s teacher earlier in the year that her Birthday was in the holidays. So just to make sure that she didn’t miss out I made her this cake.
I wanted it to be a blackboard although my daughter insisted it be a white board but since I was making it I got to have the final say. My daughter wrote on the board though so it was a combined effort.
Mrs Hermannson was delighted and absolutely loved it, she couldn’t stop smiling and I later learnt it is a big birthday to be celebrated this year too which makes this cakes all the more special.
This morning I also got an email from the Principal of the school saying that I had made the teacher’s day, and that really made my day too.
