Birthday cake, cookies and cupcakes for Poppy who was turning 4.
The cake’s lower tier is vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream and the top tier is rich chocolate and chocolate ganache.
Cupcakes are vanilla with vanilla buttercream. I went on a Cotton and Crumbs cupcake course a few months ago, so I tried to use some of what I learned when making these.
Cookies are vanilla with royal icing.
Mermaid modelled with help from Carlos Lischetti’s book, and the cake was slightly influenced by one by Cake Avenue.
