This was a last minute order for a gardening themed cake. The design was inspired by nectarcupcakes flowerpot cake chosen by the customer. The cake is an 8 inch chocolate cake covered in ganache measuring 6 inches deep.

When my 5 year old son saw the finished cake he asked me, “Mummy, why have you put real soil on top of a cake?” The soil is made from crushed oreos.
