"Insanity" Wedding Cake

This was a very unusual wedding cake, for sure! The meaning was intensely personal to the bride & groom, & the bride had it made as a surprise. Obviously, they are very much into P90X & Insanity workouts! The entire cake is vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling, iced with white chocolate ganache. I made my own black fondant for the first time, & turned out delicious! The topper is polymer clay, but all else is edible.

I have to give a plug to the amazing clay artist who made the topper—-it’s Cindy Bender of Enchanted You, www.enchantedyou.net. She is a sweetheart & a dream to work with, & she makes ETHNIC wedding toppers, which are really hard to find. Please keep her in mind if you have someone needing a very unusual & personal topper!

Oh my word my dearest friend this is brilliant!!! I will be in touch have a bodybuilder groom’s cake to do so maybe you can give me some new ideas seeing as I know you love to work out. Oh, thank you all so much! I’ve been dying to do a wedding cake, & this one was quite the unusual request! It fit the bride perfectly, & she almost cried when she saw it for the first time.
