Fruitcake bottom tier, madeira middle tier, polystyrene top tier (for the serious dieters!)
I took a 6 hour sugarcraft class just over a year ago where I learned roses and sweetpeas, hadn’t done anything similar since and so was quite thrilled with how they turned out and how much easier they were to do than I remembered. I’m now going to while away the winter evenings tinkering with different flowers just for fun.
Not a terribly attractive setting for the cake once set up at the hall with the large numbers added but I really should have noticed the bottles and other detritus behind the cake before taking the not-so-flattering photos of the completed cake!
