This was my first attempt at making a shoe / shoebox cake. The client wanted a Christian Louboutin-esque shoe and wanted the birthday girl’s name done in a similar font. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a font that was similar so I wound up creating the signature using one of my iPad apps. That was printed on edible image paper and applied to the cake. Everything on the cake was edible except for the gems on the shoe.
