This was for a lady who celebrated her 50th birthday. It was a surprise party for her. 50 butterflies cascading and fluttering celebrated her life and golden yellow gumpaste roses with pink sweet peas to represent her life in bloom, accented by golden rose applique for side borders.
The 2 other photographs are some stages of creating and coloring of the flowers and butterflies

Thank you very much for the praises!
I learned that the celebrant has just survived through a stormy path in her life right before she turned 50 that is why the girlfriends gave her butterflies and spring blooms, as a representation that is a a fresh stat of her life.. Touching!
