This is another older cake from my first year of decorating (2010). WASC cake with vanilla American butter cream filling and icing smoothed with viva method. All edible hand-sculpted fondant characters included elephant, mouse, 3 clowns, dog and hoop of fire, lion, seal with ball, tiger, monkey, 4 2D trains, balls, banners, tassels, blankets, hats, balloons, and other misc. items.
This is just incredible – I can’t imagine how long it must have taken you!

It’s a terrible mess! It looks like cake exploded into a buttercream circus!
Well yes hehe! there is alot on it..but i dont know if mess is the right word! circuses are supposed to have a lot going on!
Your cakes are so beautiful, i am inspired !!!I cant believe you only started a year or so ago!

Well knowing what I know NOW, I would definitely limit the items on the cake. But when you’re newer, you just do what you’re told. hehehe.
Your comment on mess made me laugh! :-) :-) :-) How beautiful, but very hard work!

Your fondant characters are amazing. I can’t believe these were made shortly after you started decorating cakes! You are being a little hard on yourself! I’m sure your client loved the cake.

Haha….Peggy your comments are funny- I have to admit, I was overwhelmed with all the detailed figures on this cake…I was thinking, “man, that would’ve taken me a week solid-no sleep to come up with sooooo many decorations!!” But that being said, there are lots of ‘more-is-better’ people out there who love having lots to look at and ooo and ahh over. I bet this little girls just loved her cake :)

haha honey, yes some think “more is better” – but NO ONE is THIS much of a “more is better” kind of person! teehee. The fondant work took about 55 hours. The worst thing about this cake, though, is that (remember I only bake for fun?) I had 2 other cakes this weekend… 1 was a Sweet 16 for my niece (4 tiers tall!!) and 1 was for a friend’s Christmas party. I think I slept for 3 days straight after these were done.
See Peggy, even the cakes that are not your favorites make it into the daily top 3! Everyone LOVES your cakes!
