I made this Teddy Cake for Baby Tai who is staying at Ronald McDonald House with his mum and his brother Mostyn. Baby Tai is turning 1 but the little person who is very sick is his brother Mostyn who is only two and a half. Mostyn has just had his Trachy removed last week. He has had so many operations in his young life – one dreads to think.
I have volunteered to offer my cakes to Operation Sugar which is an organization that finds Cake makers and decorators to bake cakes for seriously ill kids, however in Mostyn’s case, his brother Tai didn’t qualify for a cake as it’s only for the ill child. But Mostyn’s mum and brother have been staying at RM House for a while and have not had a chance for a celebration. Some lovely people got together to organize a 1st birthday party for Tai and put us all in touch with each other. Mostyn himself cannot eat anything and is fed with a tube and hopefully he will be well enough to be there for the party tomorrow.
