These were fun mini cakes to make for a local wedding in The Cotswolds UK. We made around 132 of these flower pots. Each pot, its foliage and spring flowers were totally edible made from sugar paste. The biggest challenge was planning the quantities, as we used around 1000 leaves, 900 flowers, 15kgs of Belgium chocolate, buttercream and 15 kgs of terracotta sugar paste for the pots. As we don’t make and freeze our cake in advanced, we bake fresh to order, we had to time this order to perfection to allow the work to be completed and enable the cakes remain fresh for the wedding.

Only a fellow caker would have full appreciation for the amount of time spent on these. It was a long time….guess you have been there also! :)
