No denying that I was nervous about this cake as I had never done a topsy turvy cake before! But I was so pleased with the results. I used some topsy turvy tins and heightened them using regular tins of the same diameter. Decorated in pretty pastel stripes, trios of rolled rosebuds and traditional English bunting flags, it summed up the theme of this wedding. The cake was topped with a sugar teacup has painted with more rosebuds and a single sugar rose filled the cup. I was so thrilled to see one of the professional photos from the day which showed their wedding rings nestling together in the top of the cup( image courtesy of www.nordicpics.co.uk) The bride was in tears when she saw the cake as it was more magical than she had ever dreamed!
