Chevron Graduation

I always love learning something new. This was my first attempt at a gumpaste Peony. This was also my first attempt at the Chevron pattern that is so popular right now. I was amazed at how simple the Chevron was. I had been looking forward to and dreading it. It definitely will not be the last time I try it.

Well, two firsts and you nailed them quite beautifully!
I am dreading the chevron too :-)

Miettes, the chevron was one of the easiest things I have tried in a long time. I cannot wait to do it again. You just have to make sure you have the circumference of your cake right before starting the layout. I was fortunate enough that my design finished perfectly on the back side with little to no adjustments. I may not be quite so fortunate next time.
