For those of you who do not know about Icing Smiles it is a bunch of cake decorators here in America that are willing to donate cakes for kids who are ill, most of them terminally and this maybe their very last cake. They call them dream cakes as the patient can order just about anything and then we get to create something that fits. Michelle is a Leukemia patient who’s has just under gone a bone marrow transplant and is celebrating her birthday today. Kitkats and m&m’s are her favorite candies and she loved other cakes like this that she had seen so although this was not a grand cake it was her dream cake so I went with what she wanted. She had asked for an ice cream cake due to her medical needs however I do not do those so I thought I would add a little whimsy as a surprise to her cake for her with the fallen ice cream cone and hope she likes it and has a little laugh. I also made the inside of cake a purple and brown checker board pattern for when they cut into it.Unfortunately she will not be able to eat it due to her medical needs however I hope she loves it.
