This wedding cake which I found in ‘Wedding Cakes A Design Source’ and was originally by Jen’s Cakery.

It took a little while to find the right colourings to add to the fondant to get the lovely ivory/ mushroom colour which sits to wonderfully against the purple of the roses.

The base tier is a fruit cake, the second vanilla sponge and the top is chocolate truffle.

The piping took me ages and made my hair stand on end when the large cake started to slip off the tilted turntable when I was over the other side of the room!

I have to say that the finished article is my favourite of all time :-)
