I cared about this cake so muc…finally my first carillon…but I was late, so I asked my boyfriend to help me and insert the dowels….when I hastily placed on the last layer I saw that it was oblique because some dowels on the left was a little too high!!! Since the italian cakes are very soft, I couldn’t remove the layer, shorten the dowels and replace it on the top… :( so one of my favorite projects has this “manufacturing defect”!
