For my little girls 1st birthday I decided on the theme of “Cat in the Hat” since she loves the show as little as she is. For the cake I wanted to keep it simple and incorporate all the traditional ‘Cat in the Hat’ characters from the story book. Layers of red velvet and vanilla cake was a fun way of incorporating the “hat” and having guests enjoy both flavours.
