Cake is a carved chocolate cake with vanilla SMBC. Icing Smiles called for a dream cake and I nearly jumped out of my skin with excitement at the opportunity. The dragon is the mascot for DeRidder School (Louisiana) where the 13-year old attends. Football is his favorite sport! The head is rice crispy treats, modeling chocolate and fondant, the tail I made from cake scraps/ buttercream mix. Handcut fondant circles make up the dragon’s tail, claws are rice crispies with modeling chocolate and the football is a giant cake ball.
