This was a super quick little cake to throw together, baked and fully decorated in less than 3 hours. Super moist WASC cake with cream-infused cream cheese filling and traditional butter cream icing. Branches are hand-painted (food coloring thinned with vodka). Berries, birdy, and snowflakes are cut from fondant. Everyone knows the swirly rose/1M tip technique I used on the sides by now, but just in case, here’s the tutorial: http://iammommy.typepad.com/i_am_baker/2011/02/rose-cake-tutorial.html
Soooooo pretty :0)
I love this cake Peggy! Maybe super quick for you, but it would have taken me quite awhile to make, and it wouldn’t have turned out nearly as beautiful!
