Oh my dear Sandra, this blessed country is far from being poor and beleaguered! Venezuela's inflation rate the first 6 month of the year hit the lovely number of 172%. My parents together make $120 per year (yes $5 per month each!) .... that is how Venezuela pay back two dedicated retired professors who formed countless lawyers and medical doctors in their more than 50 years of service combined... sad, isn't it?
