For his birthday, Francesco, a friend and a classmate of my twins Alessandro and Marco, wanted a cake decorated with the character of his favorite books, Geronimo Stilton. Stilton, the most popular children’s book series in Italy, works as a journalist and editor for the fictional newspaper “The Rodent’s Gazette”, and writes books that are written as though they are autobiographical adventure stories. They always start with his presentation: “My name is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton ..”
The cake is a chocolate sponge cake filled with two layers of nutella cream and covered with dark chocolate ganache and sugar paste: children love chocolate!!
