Another sweet treat for another birthday… my beloved husband this time! We invited a lovely Spanish family to share supper with our family. I put together my obsession for Opera cake and the tradition of Sevillian oranges to honor our guests. Delicate layers of almond joconde soaked in orange-liquor syrup, put together with orange-dark chocolate ganache and orange zest French buttercream. Decorated with bitter orange jelly, dusted with cocoa, gold dust and chocolate curls! Delicioso!
