I have chosen the work of Ivan Rabuzin for my inspiration. He was one of the most famous Croatian naive artists and his art is characterized by dense geometric patterns of vegetation and clouds that form rich, arabesque-like structures painted in gentle pastel colors.His motifs were described as an “idealistic reconstruction of the world”.
I have achieved the color effect by blending and rolling different shades of fondant, which I find very interesting as the result is not so controllable. I only used white color for dots and tiny lines.
