After four years of trying, I think I may have found my cake style. As it turns out, my favorite part of the whole process is creating edible flowers, namely sugar and wafer paper flowers. So much of my time was spent anxiously trying to design cake textures, fondant, stencils, etc. etc. etc. when all the while I just wanted a place for my flowers to land! This is a simple ganache cake. After many attempts and tears, I think I finally know how to create sharp edges and a smooth finish. Not gonna lie tho – it was painful at times. So I have decided my style is ganache cakes in various configurations with the focus being on the edible flowers. What do you think? Can I pull it off?
