Winter Hat

This cake is for my nephew and his wife. They both have a January birthday. Made winter hat cake because he crochets his own, as well as for his wife and kids. The cake is an Italian cream cake frosted and decorated in buttercream. The rim of the hat is fondant. My daughter made decorated mitten cookies to go with it.
