Elderflower & Gooseberry single tier wedding cake decorated with a wreath of sugar flowers and grasses – including a white rose (requested by the Canadian bride for her Yorkshire groom during our remote video consultation over the pond), astrantia, scabious, wax flowers, eucalpytus.

The florist wire grasses I created for their wreath are very loosely inspired by an image the bride found of a tumbleweed dressed cake by Siren Floral Co.

Having postponed and pared back once I’m sooo relieved the couple were able to go ahead with their 30-person wedding and nip in with their nuptials in front of loved ones from both the UK and Canada before 15-person wedding restrictions commenced in England on Monday 28 September.
