Today is hubby’s birthday and this is what I made him. This is the first time making a semi-naked cake. Decided to go with a this kind of cake because he is not a fan of buttercream frosting or fondant, but he does like the ganache drip. I’m pleased with the way it turned out.
The cake is one those crazy cakes that were popular during the depression of the 1930’s because they were made without eggs, butter or milk. Instead of water as the liquid I used coconut water, and added coconut flavoring and flakes to the mix to give it a different flavor.
