This is my contribution to the Couture Cakers International 2020 collaboration with the theme: “Islamic bridal dresses with Hijab”.
My piece is inspired by the summer peach Pakistani bridal gown from the house of Jaan by Rabia Malik. I used Saracino fondant to cover the tiers and create the vertical ruffles. The head scarf is made from Flexique embellished with white and gold edible lace. The sugar flowers that honor the bridal bouquet are all gum paste and the tiny peach sequins on the bodice are made from isomalt.
