I’m so happy to share with you the piece i made for the beautiful collab a Tribute to Sri Lanka, hosted by Sharon Siriwardena and the Cake Collective group. I choosen to made a sadhu (Saa-dhu), who is a monk who follows the path of penance and austerity to obtain enlightenment and happiness.

It is the fourth phase of life in the Hindu religion, after studying, being a father and being a pilgrim. The sadhu tradition consists in renouncing all the bonds that unite them to the earthly or material in the search for the true values ​​of life. As a general rule, a sadhu lives included in society, but tries to ignore the human pleasures and pains.

My piece is made of cookie and decorated in its entirety with colored royal icing, some details such as the eyes and shadows in the hair are hand painted with tint and brushes.
