This cake is for my sister’s birthday. Intended to make her a strawberry shortcake , but remembered she’s allergic to strawberries. Had to improvise. It’s a buttermilk poundcake filled with peach compote and frosted with homemade whipped cream. It’s topped with peaches maraschino cherries and blueberries.
