As spring is approaching, I love spring flowers and applying them to cakes. Cherry Blossoms are special to me as I lived in the Washington D.C. for several years and always went to the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival. Seeing those beautiful flowers in bloom all around the national monuments is breathtaking! In this cake, I learned how to make a beautiful marbled fondant and large branches of cherry blossom flowers. Putting the flowers together on a branch made them so much more realistic.
