This cake was a happy accident for me. I wanted to hand carve the ganache, embedding roses all over. I didn’t like it so decided to ganache over it, which resulted in some of the carving being exposed. I loved it so I kept it and added more details.
The flowers are wafer paper. I liked the contrast between the dainty flowers and the rough concrete finish.
The cake is for my son-in-law who, though rough around the edges, loves flowers and pretty things ❤️ 🌸
