So pleased to be back again this year with another piece for the #CoutureCakersInternational Collaboration, https://www.facebook.com/CoutureCakersInternational/ hosted and masterminded by the wonderful Heba of *Sweet Dreams by Heba" , thank you for having me.
Having spent the majority of my life in East African Countries and South Africa, I’ve created my design around my love for vibrant earthy African couture.
I was a textile designer, in South Africa for many years, and one of the styles of designs that we were asked to create fabric designs for was South West Africa. I particularly loved working with these designs as they traditionally are infused with vibrant bold contrasts in colours and florals.
Please pop across to to the Collaboration Page (Link above) to see all the other amazing designs from around the globe.
All tiers are royal iced and then hand painted using Saracino cocoa butter mixed with Saracino edible colours. Exoticflowers I made using coldporcelain

Gorgeous painting! Phenomenal flowers! Calli, you have mentioned this before, so I’ll ask: Is there a reason (I assume that there must be) that you cocoa butter paint on top of RI as opposed to fondant?
The Garden Baker
