Challenge Couture Cakers International 2019 Challenge Couture Cakers International 2019

My contribution to this year’s Couture Cakers International collaboration hosted by Heba M Elalfy, is inspired in natural textiles and fibers, handcrafted and woven in Argentina in colorful and creative ways.
Natural fibers are those of plant origin, such as cotton and chaguar, which are handcrafted by _wichis _communities, and those from animals, like silk, which are produced on a small scale. Domestic camelids, such as llama, requested by industries and artisans, and the wool of wild animals whose exploitation is supervised by governmental agencies, such as the vicuña and guanaco, are also used in handicrafts. There are fibers of goat, like mohair and cashemere, which are processed in semi-artisanal systems. Many of these fibers are considered luxury textiles as they have a small diameter and therefore allow the production of very fine and soft yarns.
Hope you like it!.
