Hi friends! sharing my humble contribution to Couture Cakers International
The meaning behind my design:
I chose a Christian Dior Spring 2019 Couture Collection whose designs are based on the
“Woman friendly concept. It suggests that ease comes at the expense of beauty and allure.”
This is a revolutionary concept that goes against popular fashion canons.
The importance, significance and contribution to the Fashion world is that Women in general no need to be uncomfortable wearing rare high hills or tied clothes just to look beauty…this collection shows the opposite.
“Clothes are our first home: We live in them. They should be a comfort—hence those shoes”.
This is a black and white collection to outline the simplicity and beauty of the clothes by erasing color and focusing instead in its construction, silhouette, texture and detail.

This concept has a very positive impact on my country Peru.
So far in 2019, there are 147 women killed in different parts of the country.
The concept of going against the canons of fashion, showing women with Easy-to-wear designs, that do not cause damage or pain to the body, without the use of colors, is a way of revealing and saying
“No, Enough is enough!”
That is the intrinsic message that I would like to convey to my Peruvian compatriots:
If in fashion you can say “No, Enough!”, Then it is time for us to raise our voices and say NO to physical or mental violence, abuse or injustice wherever it comes from.
