This was a vanilla bean cake with fresh raspberry preserves for a very special lady in my life. A friend,co-worker from my nursing days,…sort of like a mom to me. She has had Alzheimer’s for a few years now and has been institutionalized . She still remembers me and as it was she had a very good day the day I took her in the cake.She loved it! This is a nasty disease and very hard to watch your loved ones deteriorate . The rose is 50/50 Gumpaste / fondant mix. Thanks for looking.xx
