A client wanted to say ‘thank you’ to her team who helped her win a recent local election. A lot of hard work goes into that, and I hope this cake was able to express her appreciation. This cake is finished in white chocolate ganache. It’s solid and sturdy and holds up well in warmer climates. A nice alternative to fondant.
The design incorporates pieces of fondant onlay suggesting a trellis where butterflies and bees make their way to the top. The Magnolia are 50/50 gumpaste/fondant and are less fragile as a result. It’s so frustrating when petals break! A little gold paint was added for sparkle.
