A belated surprise 50th Birthday Cake for my gorgeous Cousin/honorary Sister Maree 💖

I flew to Townsville last year as a last minute decision after hoping off the plane from my amazing US trip to SoFlo Cake & Candy Expo, Avalon Cakes and ABC Cake Decorating Supplies- Phoenix, phew! I really wanted to surprise Maree for her 50th even though I was SHATTERED lol!

So needless to say, I showed up without a cake, which I think shocked everyone including myself! 😂

When I heard she was coming to Sydney last month for her gorgeous MIL’s birthday party I knew I could finally ease my guilt 😉

The explanation for my design – most Fridays Maree posts a pic of herself on her own in the pool at home after a hard working week with the caption “Me with all my friends”. Which is funny for all that know her because Maree has more friends and the busiest social life of anyone I’ve ever known.

Luckily my worries that no one would follow the meaning were completely put to ease when everyone at the party recognised the setting and some even took photos snuggling up to the cake so Maree finally had some friends 😂🤣😂
