Sharing my piece made exclusively for the all buttercream issue of American Cake Decorating (July/August edition) 😊
It took me a looong while to figure out what to do before plunging into the abstract route after accidentally
stumbling upon the work of fashion designer and artist, Tiff Manuell.
Cake was carved in a hexagon shape which embodies the modern, urban chic look at the same time showcases Tiff Manuel’s passion for vibrant colors and abstract elements
The cake is covered in Italian meringue buttercream (IMBC). ‘Paint splatter’ was melted/warmed buttercream, and the spheres were made from melted choc placed in a mold 😁
