A Wolf in the Garden - World Lupus Day Collaboration
My contribution to the World Lupus Day Sugar Art Collaboration, hosted by Emilia Calvo and Zelda Scafidas. Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, gum paste lilacs and leaves, all freehand, the wolf is painted on fondant with petal dusts and cocoa butter, the grass is coconut and the butterflies are printed on wafer paper.
My theme is based upon the fact that lupus is not a visable disease and a lot of people assume because they cannot see it, it is not there, like a wolf lurking in the garden.
