Hello! Sorry for being quiet, but I had been pretty busy as of late. But here I am and proud to show off my latest creation :D

This here, Phoenix Coronet, is my contribution to the Hats Off: A Royal Affair collaboration in honour of the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle.

Tho the entire piece was made out of fondant and some gumpaste, I did use a piece of tissue roll to for the neck and a small styro piece for the head. I first cut out a general shape of the headgear and placed it against a bigger dummy to get the curve in set. Then the rest was just adding on flower and decorative pieces by using various molds. I then poked the bottom bit with a needle so i can hook in the wires for the dangly bits. The tassles were created using an extruder. Everything was colored in gold dust mixed with cocoa butter.

I hope I did a good job of it and it comes close to my inspo pic :)
